Everyone has a History.
Here is ours.

Uwe Schröter, who founded the company UTTec with his son Tim Schröter, has been involved in the field of tool and process monitoring for decades. Through continuous communication with machine manufacturers and users on site, he has repeatedly created new standards in this area.
Tim Schröter grew up with the topic of tool and process monitoring, so he was born with an interest in machine tools. Today, he is a source of ideas in the company, acts as a contact person for employees and business partners and is involved in the further development of the company.

Since its foundation, UTTec has continuously set new technological standards with an innovative team of experts consisting of technologists, physicists and hardware and software developers when it comes to analyzing production and machining processes and offering appropriate solutions for optimization. This know-how in the field of monitoring systems has and will continue to set standards.
The milestones of the UTTec expert team:

A new benchmark for increasing productivity

UTTec is setting new standards with the UTTm® tool monitoring system. From the detection of tool breakage, tool missing and tool wear, the system sends real-time information via a separate network interface machine tool to the customer's company network. A unique step to increase availability and productivity.

Functions for worldwide availability

To meet the needs of a globalized and technologically advanced world, UTTec has a wide range of functions. For example, the multilingual software offers comprehensive support in 18 languages to ensure user-friendly and intuitive operation worldwide. UTTec has also expanded the visualization to 16 tools working simultaneously.

From an intelligent basis to new standards

UTTec starts with the development of the pure collision monitoring system UTCm® Basic. Due to its success, the first preventive and intelligent monitoring/maintenance with UTCm® Pro including a digital 3D vibration and temperature sensor is developed shortly afterwards. Almost parallel to these new standards, UTTec develops the UTTm® tool monitoring system.

More customer proximity with additional details

UTTec expands the UTTm® tool monitoring system with sensors and software solutions. These include vibration sensors, interfaces with Profinet and software developments with Siemens. This results in full integration with all Siemens interfaces (Linux, Windows). At the same time, UTTec is developing an active power sensor with a sampling rate twice as high as conventional sensors for high-frequency spindles.

The absolute highlight in surveillance technology

The UTDa® analysis software, which is linked to the UTTm® tool monitoring system, analyzes tools and timelines and displays intervention times and wear values. Up to 14 reasons for malfunctions can be defined and machine running times, downtimes and non-productive times can be recorded in detail. At the same time, UTDa® offers the unique opportunity to make even older machines Industry 4.0-capable.

Our corporate culture is based on four key characteristics.

Teamwork

Because only shared motivation promotes synergies and efficiency.

Professionalism

This is competence, reliability and respectful interaction with customers and colleagues.

Commitment

Achieving goals with perseverance and passion, even when it is difficult.

Transparency

We are open and honest in all our actions and take responsibility for them.

Better together

Ideas for innovative products are not created at a desk or on a computer. The current and constantly changing requirements of the market can only be mastered together. This is why we work closely with users and machine and system manufacturers. In the field of machining technology, this means that efficient solutions can only be created when users and technology partners contribute their know-how.
